  • They're expecting 70% of capacity (30) so that's 21 people.
  • To increase they're budget, they could try and get more sponsorship or fundraise more.
  • They could make a bigger deal of the programmes and spent slightly more on them to make them nicer so more people would buy them and charged more than 50p each.
  • They could reduce there spending by creating an online programme for people to download on their phones.
  • They paid a lot for performance rights, if they devised their on play they wouldn't have to pay.

Hiring a Theatre


Upfront hire versus box office split

A box office split - A theatre allows you to not pay an upfront cost and instead take a percentage of your box office earnings.

Advantages
A big advantage for the production company is no up front theatre rental costs. Also, there's no commission charge for selling tickets and no charge to go into their event programme.

Disadvantages
The theatre could make less money doing a box office split than getting the money upfront if the show has a poor reception.


Evaluation

In made in Dagenham, it took me while to get into character and have good characterisation. I think this was due to my lack of confidence of...
